SACAVA will be holding their ANNUAL Meeting for all to attend on January 14, 2011 at our office location 60 West Building 7825 Midlothian Turnpike, Suite 218 Richmond, VA .The regular monthly Board meeting will be held directly after at 10:00a.m.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS NOTES

The Board of Directors made a motion #01-2008, as of April 4, 2008, that the grace period for expired certifications has been reduced to one (1) from the original motion of five (5) years, from expiration date to still be eligible for re-certifications.

The reason for the motion change was that some members were not renewing their certification in the year as required and held off renewing until the 5 year period or just didn't renewing the certification. This was costing money to the board with postage, extra administrative work, paper and using up unnecessary file space in the office. After searching various boards in the nation affiliated with IC&RC, it was found that no other board had such requirements, as a member could wait up to five (5) years to renew expired certifications. Therefore, the board made the decision to make a motion change effective April 4, 2008.

SACAVA is seeking new board members to be on the Board of Directors.   If you have recommendations for new Board members, please submit them to the nomination committee, or have them submit [e-mail sacava_dsl@verizon.net or fax (804)-741-2773 their names, qualifications and resumes to the SACAVA office as soon as possible for review by the nomination committee.
